Diagnostic support
Being a vital part of several disciplines in medicine, the Pathology Department provides diagnostic support to all the clinical departments. Some specialized diagnostic procedures are carried out in the academic wing of the college. The diagnostic wing has sophisticated equipment like automated cell counter, fluorescent microscope with digital photo-micrographic attachment, cryostat, automated tissue processor, Leica microtomes and advanced bright field research microscopes. The routine diagnostic wing consists of four sub-sections: Histopathology, Hematology, Cytology and Clinical Pathology.
