Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics is 77 bedded well established with functional and well-equipped OPERATION THEATER, LABOUR ROOM, INDOOR and OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT and providing 24/7 EMERGENCY services by highly qualified and competent staff.

Gynae department is actively engaged in teaching and clinical activities for undergraduate MBBS and Postgraduate students.

RESEARCH work is being done at the Gynae department, KFTH.

ADOLESCENT GYNECOLOGY

UROGYNAECOLGY CLINIC

KISHWAR FAZAL TEACHING HOSPITAL offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for women with pelvic floor dysfunctions like bladder and bowel problems and prolapse of the uterus. Bladder dysfunction includes urinary frequency, voiding problems, and incontinence (cannot hold urine). The team has special expertise in the treatment of uterine prolapse and childbirth-related injuries to the perineum.

GYNECOLOGICAL ONCOLOGY CLINIC

Our team of specialists provides a comprehensive treatment plan for gynecological cancers such as ovarian, uterine, cervical, vaginal, and vulval cancer.

Regular cervical screening test (Pap Smear) helps the prevention of cervical cancer through early treatment. Since all cancers cannot be detected early, it is important to know about the warning signs as well as learn about options to reduce the risk of cancers, especially if there is a strong family history.

WELL WOMEN CLINIC

The clinic offers a complete health checkup for women and includes Pap smear testing, screening for osteoporosis, and teaching breast self-examinations.

EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION

Emergency Contraception helps prevent pregnancy when taken within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse or if a birth control pill is not effective. This service is also available through our consultants.

FETAL MEDICINE UNIT

The specialist team at the Fetal Medicine Unit takes care of high-risk pregnancies which include extensive diagnostic and clinical monitoring to ensure that no harm comes to the baby or the mother.
