INTRODUCTION

  • Pathology is a branch of medicine that bridges the clinical and non-clinical subjects. Pathologists works in coordination with clinicians to diagnose different ailments. The faculty of this department has expertise in the disciplines of morbid anatomy and Histopathology, clinical Hematology, Microbiology and Chemical pathology. It provides a comprehensive panel of laboratory services, including histopathological evaluation of surgical specimen, fine needle aspiration cytology, blood and bone marrow examination, serology, culture sensitivities and blood chemistry for the identification of various diseases. There are two main branches of Pathology
  • Subject of Pathology is being taught to third and fourth academic years of MBBS and 2nd year BDS. During this time period, they will develop  an  understanding  of  pathology, underlying  clinical disease  states  involving  the  major  organ
  • OBJECTIVES:

One of the primary objectives of the Department is to train under graduate MBBS and BDS MLT students in various disciplines of Pathology. The courses are designed to equip the students with state of the art knowledge and latest practical skills relevant to clinical pathology of all fields.
