What the college teaches
Faryal Dental College teaches the Bachelor of Dental Surgery. The degree is awarded by the University of Health Sciences and the college is recognised by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for 50 BDS seats.
Faryal Dental Hospital is a section of the college, not a separate institution. Clinical teaching takes place there.
Teaching accommodation
The college shares the basic science laboratories and museums of the medical college, which is the arrangement the regulator provides for where a dental college is attached to a medical college on the same campus. Its students use the lecture halls, the Learning Resource Centre and the skills laboratory of the campus.
Clinical facilities
Dental imaging on the campus includes an OPG and cephalometry X-ray machine. Instruments are processed through the central sterilisation department, which runs a washer disinfector, a double-door steam autoclave, a dry heat steriliser and a chemical steriliser, with separate paths for the collection of dirty instruments and linen.
