Admission Policy

MBBS & BDS for the Session 2025-26

1. Introduction:

Admissions to both the MBBS and BDS programs are governed by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) in alignment with the Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education guideline

Our campus, a hub for integrated medical and dental education, hosts two esteemed institutions that collaboratively shape the future of healthcare professionals:

  • Amna Inayat Medical College (MBBS): Providing an enriched, hands-on learning environment for MBBS students, equipping them with the skills to excel in medicine.
  • Faryal Dental College (BDS): Offering a comprehensive and innovative approach to dental education, fostering expertise and professionalism in future dental practitioners.

Together, these colleges provide an interdisciplinary ecosystem, preparing students to lead with knowledge, compassion, and excellence in the fields of medicine and dentistry.

2. Definitions:

  • Pakistani Student: A student who is a Pakistani national and has completed FSc/HSSC or an equivalent qualification in Pakistan will be considered a local applicant. All other candidates who do not meet these criteria will be treated as foreign students (holding foreign nationality) for admission purposes.
  • Foreign Student: “Foreign student” means a student who is not a Pakistani Student and holds foreign/dual nationality and overseas Pakistani as elaborated under of PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admission, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2025. 
  • Overseas Pakistanis: Candidates who completed HSSC (12th grade) or equivalent qualification from abroad and hold Pakistani nationality.
  • MDCAT: “Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test” or “MDCAT” means the medical and dental college’s admissions test throughout Pakistan.

3(b): Eligibility Criteria

The candidate has passed the MDCAT Examination held by the admitting Universities of Pakistan as per PF-1-C-PM&DC/Notification/2024/529 dated 23rd August 2024 by Pakistan Medical And Dental Council.

MDCAT Pass Percentage and Validity Period:

  • MBBS: 55% – Valid for three years from the date of MDCAT.
  • BDS: 50% – Valid for three years from the date of MDCAT.

For Foreign Candidates (having foreign nationality) and Overseas Pakistanis:

  • MDCAT scores
  • SAT-II scores with a minimum of 550 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics
  • MCAT (USA) or UCAT (UK) scores with at least 50% in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics
3(c): Merit Percentage Calculation:
  • MDCAT (SAT/MCAT/UCAT in case of foreign/overseas Pakistanis): 50% weightage
  • F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/HSSC/Equivalent: 40% weightage
  • Matriculation/ SSC/Equivalent: 10% weightage

5. Submission of Fees & Documents:

    • Candidates selected by UHS will receive admission offers via email. Candidates should check emails regularly following the declaration of the merit list by UHS.
    • Candidates on the merit list will have three days to submit fees in the form of a Demand Draft or Pay Order for the first year of session 2024-2025:
    • Original results/certificates for Matric/O-Levels and F.Sc/A-Levels (attested by IBCC)
    • Three sets of copies of all academic records
    • Eight photographs
    • Three copies of CNIC (student and Father/Mother/Guardian)
    • Passport/Visa (for foreign students)
    • Domicile certificate
    • MDCAT result
    • Matric/O-Level result/certificate (attested by IBCC)
    • F.Sc/A-Level result/certificate (attested by IBCC)
    • Board Migration Certificate (for non-Punjab candidates)

6. Commencement of Classes:
